Lidia’s Cocina (Kitchen) at ‘Old Pueblo is located on the south end of Main Street Florence, Arizona. Florence is embraced by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert, and itself, embraces a history of life and architecture with over 100 historic buildings from Arizona’s early Territorial period to the 1950’s. The Old Pueblo restaurant was founder in the 1980s by two retired nurses and on November 2, 2018, Manuel Perez purchased the Old Pueblo naming it after the best chef he’d known, Mom. Manuel was born and partially raised in Sauceda de la Borda in Zacatecas Mexico. Lidia, Manual’s mother had a passion for food, not just the taste, but the creation of traditional meets the present delighting guests of Lidia’s with good homestyle food with a subtle current flare for your tastebuds.

Manuel (Manny) brought his mother’s passion for food and recipes to Florence, Arizona and has been serving up Mother’s tried and true Sonoran+ menu items at Lidia’s Cocina at Old Pueblo for many years now. If not in the kitchen, Manny will often be visiting with the guests at Lidia’s, “me casa, su casa.”
